What a one-person creative team actually means
Most brands in Dubai end up paying for a chain of people: an agency to plan, a videographer to shoot, an editor to cut, a designer to lay out, and someone else to actually post it. Each hand-off costs a week and a margin.
I do all of it. I plan the content, shoot it, edit it, write the captions, publish it, and run the paid campaigns that put it in front of people. Nine years of doing this across the UAE, the UK and India means the shoot is already being framed for how it will be cut and where it will be posted, which is why the turnaround is measured in days rather than months.
What I produce
Short-form social video
Vertical content built natively for Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts — hooks in the first second, captions burnt in, cut for sound-off viewing.
Brand films
Cinematic pieces for a launch, a venue or a founder story. Scripted, storyboarded, shot and graded.
Photography
Product, interior, property and lifestyle stills — shot to sit alongside the video as one consistent set of assets.
Paid campaigns
Meta, TikTok and Google. Creative built for the platform, audiences tested properly, spend reported honestly.
Industries I know well in the UAE
Content that works for a restaurant does not work for a developer. These are the sectors where I already know the shot list, the pacing and what the audience responds to:
- Real estate and property — developers, brokerages and interior fit-out studios. Walkthroughs, drone, Matterport 360° tours and agent-led social content.
- Restaurants and F&B — food in motion, kitchen craft, venue atmosphere. Content shot to make people book a table.
- Salons, beauty and clinics — treatment films, before-and-after storytelling, practitioner-led content that builds trust before someone walks in.
- Retail and product — packshots, unboxings, demonstration content and the paid creative to push it.
- Events and corporate — same-day social edits, highlight films, speaker content and conference coverage.
Recent and ongoing work includes The Network (formerly Starling Properties) in Dubai, Art Village Event Design, Renovation Masters, MCORP Interior Fitout and Solari Events & Travels.
How a project runs
- The brief. A call about what the content is meant to achieve — bookings, enquiries, followers, or a launch. Not "how many videos".
- The plan. Concepts, shot list and a posting plan, priced as one number.
- The shoot. One person, one kit, minimal disruption to your space or team.
- The edit. First cuts within days, in every aspect ratio you need.
- The publish. Scheduled, captioned and hashtagged — or handed over clean if you post yourself.
- The numbers. What performed, what did not, and what the next batch should change.
Working with a freelance content creator in Dubai
Do you work on retainer or per project?
Both. Most Dubai clients start with a single project — a launch film or a batch of social content — and move to a monthly retainer once they see the turnaround. A retainer usually covers a shoot day or two per month plus ongoing publishing and campaign management.
Are you a videographer or a social media manager?
Both, and that is the point. Hiring separately means the person shooting has no stake in whether the post performs. When the same person shoots, edits, publishes and reads the analytics, the next shoot is already better informed.
Do you cover Abu Dhabi and the rest of the UAE?
Yes. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are routine, and I travel across the Emirates for shoots. I also work remotely with clients in the United Kingdom.
Can you work with content we already have?
Yes. Editing existing footage, recutting long-form into short-form, and building a social calendar around an archive is a common request, and often the fastest way to get a channel moving.
What does it cost?
It depends on shoot days, deliverables and whether paid media management is included. Send a short brief and you will get a single fixed number rather than a day-rate that drifts.
